The word is that CLANNAD ~AFTER STORY~ is now licensed by Sentai Films, division of ADV Films, so we have removed the torrents. I sincerely apologize for not getting the latter half of the series out in time; life just recently took a major turn, notably just started a new job.
Thank you for all your support throughout this time. And here’s to hoping that we get a good commercial release of CLANNAD ~AFTER STORY~. I cannot pass judgment on Sentai’s release of CLANNAD since I have not seen it. However, given everything I have heard about that release, the show was more or less left alone, save subtitles, and at this point, has not been dubbed. And I prefer my Japanese entertainment to be just that. Japanese. </editorialize>

This is quite sad. I planed to buy the dvd, but I intent to just keep it like that and archive your releases for any re-watch. Well, can be helped. Good luck on your new job, and I’m looking forward to your new project, whenever that comes.
this is a sad day….a sad day indeed….I have no good experiance with official american realeses of Japanese anime,so I stay completely away from them as much as I can.It’s particularly annoying to me how american licensing essencially means licensing it for all realeses in Europe aswell. :-/ I live in Norway,where there pretty much are no official anime DVD’s available in shops,so whenever a series is licensed in America,and fansub groups(which apparently are pretty much all American,since so many of them shut down their projects when a series is licensed)stop realesing their subs of the show,I either have to buy the Amerivcan DVD’s over the net,or hope I can find another group…it’s rather annoying,since it’s licensed in the US,not Europe,but it has the effect of it essencially being licensed here too…I guess I’l have to settle for SS-Eclipse on the second half,and keep the first half,and the Kyo episode,from you guys.it’s not that SS-Eclipse’s subs are bad,it’s just that the video quality on your DVD realeses are better…oh well,thanks for all your hard work up ’til now. :-) and good luck with your job and other things in life.
